Apples, Bubblebaths, Football and Piano

Last Sunday Nicole had everyone over for dinner.  After dinner we made carmel apples with the kids and they had so much fun!
 YUM!

Monday I worked at Focus.  It was a CRAZY day and we got off really late!  I went to the gym after and then Blake and I cooked a yummy thai dinner.

Tuesday I worked at Johansens and then went to the gym.  We cooked dinner again.....2 nights in a row, crazy I know!  After we ate we headed out to Lauren's to see the new bunny they got.  It was so cute and we had a ton of fun!

Wednesday I worked at Johansens and then went to the gym.  We were missing our hot tub that night so we filled our jetted tub, made pudding and watched The Patriot while we were soaking, so fun!

Thursday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  Even though I can't do much at the gym it still feels so good to be back!  That night I went to a relief society activity.  It was so fun!  I'm getting to know more and more people in the neighborhood and starting to feel at home!

Friday morning I had piano and then physical therapy.  I spent the rest of the day decorating for Christmas.  I know it's early but it's an extra late Thanksgiving and I want to maximize the amount of time I get to enjoy my cute decorations!
That night we watched Nick and Kesha's kids and had a blast, they are the cutest!  We made this cute little craft, hand and footprint turkeys.  Sandy made it with Nicole's kids and I thought it was waaay too cute so I had to try it out.  They turned out awesome!
We made one with Payten too but she wasn't a fan of us holding her hand with the paint.  She also helped Blake put away the laundry haha.
The highlight of visiting Blake and RyRy's house was always the hot tub.  Well we don't have that anymore but we do have an awesome tub for bubble baths!!  We turned on a movie and they giggled their heads of playing in the bubbles.  Nothing I love more than a house full of sweet little ones giggles!!
The kids were all perfect all night and we didn't want to give them back when Nick and Kesha came home!

Saturday morning Blake went to work putting up our lights.  He loves Christmas as much as I do and we were so excited to get them up!  I panicked a little when he was high up on the ladder and roof.
They look sooooo good!  While we were doing lights we had someone come clean out our vents and they ended up frying the furnace motor.  They weren't able to fix it until next week......brrrrrr!!!  After we finished the lights we headed to Blake's championship flag football game.  He played against Eric Swenson's team.  It was a close game and they barely lost dang it!
These brothers are definitely from the same mold.....look at their identical stances haha
Who is that dirty player in green?!!??
 Blake and Eric
After the game we headed to my piano recital.  I played Your Song by Elton John.  I still get nervous everytime haha but it was really fun!  Whit, Sadie, Blake and his parents came.
After the recital we grabbed dinner at Moochies with Blake's parents.  I've been dying to try it since I saw it on Diners Drive Ins and Dives and it definitely didn't disappoint!!!  Blake and I went to see Hunger Games that night and LOOOOOVED it!!!  Such great movies!

Today we went to church and then did some deep cleaning around the house.  Our cute home teachers came by for a lesson.  Our ward is welcoming us right in:)!  Later tonight the fam is coming over for dinner, nothing beats Sundays!

Grandpa's Funeral

Monday I had the day off and so I was lucky enough to spend the day making Grandpa's photo video of his life for his funeral.  It took pretty much the entire day but it turned out really good and I had so much fun looking back at all the cute pictures of his life!
That night Blake and I cooked dinner at home and relaxed the rest of the night.

Tuesday I worked at Johansens and then ran some errands for stuff for the funeral for my mom.  I spent the rest of the night at her house going over her talk with her and making this beauty......
Grandpa LOOOOVED his potato chips and so I wanted to make something for him with potato chips.  I found these potato chip roses online and thought they were to die for!  It took a long time but they turned out so cute!

Wednesday I worked at Dr. Johansens and then went straight to the viewing.  I was a little out of it and locked my keys in the car.  Luckily Blake hadn't left work yet so he was able to go home and get the spare for me before he came.  It was a beautiful viewing but also really hard.  It all felt surreal, Grandma kept saying it didn't feel real to her.  I took my flower to the viewing with a little sign, Grandpa used to tell us that when he ate potato chips he was just eating his veggies!
Everytime I turned my head another one of the Miller family popped in to the viewing.  I can't believe how amazing and supportive my family is!  Leaving Grandpa there at the end of the night was really tough and it felt so weird to see Grandma alone.  A few of us went to dinner at Asian Star after.  It was so good!

Thursday was the day of the funeral.  I knew it was going to be rough when I couldn't stop the tears long enough to put on my makeup!  Closing the casket was sobering, realizing I'd never see that cute face in person again.   The funeral was amazing but soooooo hard.  I playing piano and sang a song.  It was going ok until I got to the last verse that talks about with your final heartbeat kiss the world good bye and fly to jesus......then I couldn't hold back the tears.  I could hardly talk so the last bit was pretty shaky.  My mom also spoke and I was so proud of her!  She hates public speaking so much and she did an amazing job.  Nick and Danny also did a talk together, reliving old memories.  It was really funny and also really tender, they were awesome.  We went to the graveside after.  It was a perfect day outside.  They had the honored guards there which was really cool.
 They did a naval salute
The whole process was one of the coolest things I've ever seen!
They gave Grandma the flag at the end and thanked Grandpa for his service.  Seriously gave me the chills.
The Great-grandkids, amazing that all these kids came from those 2!
 Baby Payten is the cutest!!!
 The headstone
 The Davis siblings and Grandma
Putting potato chips in the flower arrangment
 Goodbye Grandpa, we love you!
My mom went back to visit the graveside that night and sent me this picture
We went back to the ward after for lunch and it was really good.  I was sad the Idaho cousins had to leave right after.  Blake and I went to his mom's house after because no one was home and we desperately needed naps!  Crying is so incredibly exhausting!  We slept SO hard for a good 2 hours.  When we woke up he went to a flag football game and I went to Cous Cous with Grammy and Sandy.  After we went to Bingham to watch the girls dance performance.  They did the mini minerettes dance camp with Jamyn's drill team.  I know I might be biased but they were for sure the cutest one out there!!!
They did a headstand contest.....Izzy just wanted to do her scorpion:)
The girls idolize Jamyn's dancy girls!!!

We were exhausted and kinda looked like homeless people......
When we got home our cute renters brought up a big bouquet of flowers for us, they are the sweetest!

Friday I worked at Focus Dental and then went to physical therapy.  Finally I feel like I'm making some progress!  That night Eric and Aubrey came over.  We had a BBQ and played hearts.  They are the best and we had so much fun with them!

Saturday morning Blake went to play football with Pres and some other friends and I went to the gym.  We grabbed breakfast after at Millcreek Cafe.  He spent the rest of the day with Pres and I went to the Christmas Expo with Whit and my mom.  I wait ALL year for that expo and this year didn't disappoint!  I could spend a whole day.......and $1,000 without even blinking!  We had a blast and made out like bandits!  I met Blake after at P and J's.  We had some caprese pizza and watched Last of The Mohecans, which I have to admit is pretty good!  After the movie we went to Red Mango, mmmmm:)!

This morning we went to Nicole and Mikko's ward to watch the kids in the Primary program.  Nicole is the Primary president and did such a amazing job!  I love the primary programs sooo much!  We went back to their house after and had a big breakfast.
Now we're all just veggin' out and taking our Sunday naps!
