Ragnar

Monday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  Kelsi was in town from Kentucky and so we went out to dinner.  I already missed her soo much and so it was really fun to see her!!  We had a delicious dinner at Cous Cous and caught each other up on life.  I already am counting down for Christmas when she'll come back to me again!

Tuesday I worked at Dr. Johansen's.  While at work I got a horrible text.  My brother-in-law, Scott's, dad died suddenly of a heart attack.  It was almost exactly a year ago that my dad also had a heart attack.  We were lucky enough to keep him around but this situation reminded me just how lucky we were.  Scott's dad, Reb, was an amazing man and it is so awful that he was taken away so suddenly.  I felt sick all day and couldn't stop thinking about their poor family.  I went to piano after work and then to Grandpa D's birthday dinner at Outback.  He is doing so well and it is so fun to see him!
After dinner we went to the Breinholt's.  It was tough to see everyone so sad.  We are so lucky to know that families are forever, otherwise I don't know how anyone could ever deal with the pain of losing a loved one.

Wednesday morning I had to go to Focus early before work for staff pictures.  I missed the memo that everyone was getting all dolled up so blessed my heart in all the pictures with my classy bun haha.  After I worked at Dr. Johansen's and then went to Angie's to get my hair cut.  She always does a great job.  The rest of the night I relaxed and worked on my scrapbook.

Thursday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  I went to my parent's after, we grabbed Cafe Rio and headed up to East Canyon to volunteer for Ragnar.  A few months ago my Miller family formed a team for Ragnar.  People started getting injured and were dropping like flies.  In the end the team was Whit, some cousins and some friends from her ward.  Whit totally saved my butt and I owe her bigtime!  The team needed 3 volunteers so mom, dad and I came to the rescue.  Our shift was from 7:45 pm to 11:45 pm.  It was hilarious and we got some awesome traffic directing wands.
A runner on the team got injured so I volunteered to run their last leg, so I still got to be a part of the team.  I slept a few hours with them at a cabin and then ran a little after 5 am.  I ran through Kamas around gorgeous pastures and was in heaven.  Unfortunately the end of the run my dumb knee starting hurting again but I still made it and had a blast!
Me and my cute sister
 We LOVE running!
Whit's cute kids came to watch us finish
Yes I crossed the finish line and got a medal even though I only ran 3 miles haha!
 Team Miller Time
When I got home  Blake and I headed to the viewing for Reb Breinholt.  It was neat to see a few of his things and learn a little more about him.  What an amazing man he was.  After the veiwing we went to dinner with Nicole, Pres, Jamyn, Laur and Travis.  We went to Market Street and it was so fun.  We always have so much fun together and laugh so hard.  It was a perfect night.

Saturday morning I went to the gym.  That afternoon it was Reb's funeral.  It was very emotional but a great tribute to him.  So many of the things they were saying about Reb sounded like they were talking about Scott.  He is so much like his dad and his dad will definitely live on through him and his siblings.  Also sweet Eleni has Reb's eye and so Scott and Lindsay will be able to still look into his eyes everyday.  I cannot imagine losing my dad or father-in-law so young.  After the funeral we went to dinner at Cafe Rio with our fam and then Blake and I headed up to Kamas to ride horses.  It was a perfect day for riding and we had a blast!  The mountain was SO green and there were flowers everywhere.
Me and my girlfriend Hook
Nothing better than a gorgeous ride with this hotty!
 Blake just living the dream!
We stopped by Cup of Snow on our way home, GLORIOUS!!! I love love love summer for that reason alone:)!  We went and doorbell ditched our friends because it was just too nice outside.  We visited with them for a bit after they found us and then we went home and got in the hot tub.  It felt so good!

This morning we went to church and then I went and did my visiting teaching.  I love all the ladies that visit me and that I get to visit.  I have a strong testimony of visiting teaching and I'm so grateful for the wonderful blessing and relationships it brings into my life!

Powell

Last Sunday we celebrated Chase's birthday since we'd be gone in Powell.  He is such a special boy and we are so lucky to have him in our fam!  That boy has an extra skip in his step and has more energy than any kid I've ever met.  He is also the most tender little guy and still love to give his aunts hugs which always makes my day!!!  It was so fun to party with Chaser!
His fav gift was a dwarf bunny (they got one for Tay Tay too so the bunny would have a friend)
 The kids were in heaven!!!
 Everyone wanted turns holding
He also got a unicycle and it kept us all very entertained!
Happy birthday, please stop getting big Mr!
Trying on his tank, could he be more handsome?!?!

I took the week off of work because initially we planned on leaving on Sunday.  By the time plans changed it was too late to bail on my temps for I spent the day at Millers helping pack for our trip.  Powell is my fav trip of the year and it was devastating missing out on it last year!!!

Tuesday I was the luckiest....I got to tend my lover girl Eleni.  We had SO much fun but the day flew by too fast.  Randomly we got a knock on the door and there was 2 handsome boys standing there!  Cute Kesh stopped by with her kiddos to visit and totally made my day.  Payten definitely gave Eleni a run for her money in the leg roll department!
I did NOT want to give Eleni back but the only reason I agreed is because I got to head to Powell.  We left around 3 so we got there pretty late.  We had a pretty small group but it was a blast.  It was Pres, Sandy, Preston, Jamyn, Kaitlyn (Jamyn's sister), Rylie (Jamyn's cousin) and us.  Scott and Heidi Bagley came the last half of the week.  WARNING this is my fav trip of the year so there is about a million picture coming up.........
