Memorial weekend

On Sunday I went and did my visiting teaching.  I'm starting to meet more and more people in our ward and I'm really loving where we live.  We went t dinner that night at Sandy's.

Monday I worked at Dr. Sands and then went to the gym.  Blake and I went to Scott and Lindsay's for a bit and then went to Sandy's to watch the Bachelorette with Jamyn.  We hate to admit it, but it is definitely our new guilty pleasure.  The girl Ashley really bugs us and so we LOVE the guy from Utah, Bentley, because he is such a punk to her and it is hilarious to watch!

Tuesday I worked at Dr. Dastrup's and then went to the gym.  Blake and I relaxed that night and watched Sex and the City.  He's sooo exhausted from rugby all the time and so we love our relaxing nights together.

Wednesday I worked at Dr. Johansens and then went to the gym.  My cute husband knew that I was soo jelaous that he got a massage the other night and so he hired our good friend Lindsey Newton to give me a massage.  Seriously that girl has magic fingers and it was hands down the best massage I have ever had.  Man I love my husband.  We took Lindsey out after for a romantic dinner at KFC/Taco Bell which actually tasted phenominal!

Thursday morning I went to the Library and checked out the first book in the Hunger Games series because everyone has been raving about them.  I finished it in 3 days, so I must agree they are pretty good!  I ran errands and cleaned the house the rest of the day.  I met my mom and Whit for a yummy dinner at Little America, can't beat my split pea soup nights!

Friday morning I went to the gym and then drove out to Kesha's with my mom.  We went to Boston's preschool graduation day.  They all had to dress up like pirates and did the cutest show for us.  He was by far the cutest one out there, I love that boy to pieces!
We grabbed lunch after at Firehouse Subs and it was super yummy.  We were right by Blake's office and so we got to come meet us and I was in heaven!  I spent the rest of the afternoon out at Kesha's.  That night Blake took me out on a date.  We went to Lonestar and it was delicious!  We both are total suckers for a good steak!  We went to see Bridesmaids after and it was pretty funny!

Saturday morning I went to the gym while Blake was at rugby practice.  His whole family was in St. George and we were totally bummed because we couldn't come with everyone because of rugby practice.  Last minute, Blake's awesome coach let him do Mon. morning practice on his own and so we were able to sneak down to St. George for a quick getaway.  We didn't tell his family because we wanted to surprise them.  We left right after Blake got home from practice.  Blake and I were SOO excited!  We knew everyone would be at the pool so we snuck into the condo and changed into our suits and cannon-balled into the pool in the middle of everyone.  They were all super surprised and it was SO fun to see their faces!

Nick and Kesha were in St. George too, so we told them to come swimming with all of us.  It was so fun and Boston even starting swimming on his own with water wings!
That night we had a BBQ with Sandy's side of the fam (a ton of Sandy's cousins were there too).  It felt so good to lay out of the grass and be with everyone!  It was a perfect evening!

Sunday morning we all went to church and then went back to the condo to make breakfast.  It was a little chilly that day and so none of us wanted to get in our suits.  We all ended up going to play volleyball together which was a blast.  The boys basically held to teams together and us girls were more there to keep everyone entertained!

We went to Janice and Gordon's ranch after and spent the rest of the day there with everyone, eating and having fun.  There was a super cold wind and so we all had to bundle up.  They have a super fun zipline that all the kids love.....and yes I'm such a wuss that I was to scared to do it!  Even Macie did it and she LOVED it!
We got to feed the cute horses carrot and the kids loved it....and of course so did Blake!

That night Blake got a gun from Grammy's brother Roland and he was in heaven.  My man is such cowboy at heart and he loves his guns and horses!

Monday morning we went right out to the pool and tried to get in as much sunshine as we could before we had to head home.  We grabbed lunch at Mad Greek and got an Orange Peel bubble tea, which is my new obsession!!! They are amazing and we have to get one in SLC!!!!!!  We hit the road around 1:30 and had to hustle to get Blake back in time for his night rugby practice.  We made it just in the nick of time!  I went to the gym while we was at practice and then came home and made us a yummy dinner.  We didn't eat until 9:00!  We went over to Sandy's after to do some laundry because they were still in St. George and it was our landlord's day with the laundry machines.  While our laundry was going we watched the Bachelorette and Bentley didn't let us down!  We could not stop laughing!  We had a pretty late night that night!

This morning Blake left for Philadelphia and I miss him already.  Thank goodness I get to come on this trip, we leave on Thursday.  I can't wait to watch him play and I hope everything goes really well for the team!!!!

I thought I was getting my husband back.....

.....but I was incorrect!  Just when you think rugby is over you remember that there is still 7's.  My poor husband has to get up at 6:30 every morning for practice and then works all day, followed by night practice and he usually gets home at 9:00.  He is so exhausted and sore every night.  He is like a machine and I just don't know how he does it!

On Monday I worked at Dr. Sands and it was just lovely and then I went straight to the gym.  I met Blake that night at Costco.  We finally decided to become members at Costco, I feel like such an adult now!  I know this may be a very hard thing because Costco has WAY too much awesome stuff, but we are totally stoked!  We met Nicole, Mikko, the kids, Grammy and Sandy for dinner at Rumbi's and ice cream at Coldstone.

On Tuesday I worked out in Centerville and then went to the Gold's out in Bountiful.  That night my mom and I went to a shower for a girlfriend I grew up with, Allie Harling.  We pulled up and there were no cars.  We started laughing and went home to look at the invitation again......typical Kathy and Rylee....the shower was actually on Thursday.  We decided to take advantage of our evening together and grab a bite at Gepettos.  It was SO fun.  The live music there can't be beat and the food is always amazing, I swear their chef salad with blue cheese can't be beat!  Eddie dropped Sadie off with us because my mom was watching her that night.  She loved the music and we all had so much fun!

On Wednesday I worked at Johansens and then went to Golds.  I met up with Ashlee Smith (a friend from dental hygiene) after for dinner at Cafe Rio.  We ended up being there almost 2 hours.  She is such an awesome friend and I always love catching up with her!  Blake and I got home right around the same time.  Thank goodness for awesome girlfriends to keep me occupied while my husband is MIA.  On Thursday I went to the gym and then watched Sadie all day while Whitney went to meetings.  We stopped at the library and got some movies and books and then went Sandy's to play with Meredith and Izzy.  It was so funny to watch them all together.  Sadie was seriously in heaven she absolutely idolizes Meredith!  Cute Pres took us all, along with Lindsay to lunch at Sharon's Cafe.  The girls were surprisingly good for us!  I brought Sadie back to our apt after and we watched Hannah Montana, and I'm not ashamed to admit that even when she fell asleep I kept watching haha!  Whit hung-out for a bit before she took Sadie home.  When Blake got home he was out cold before he had to go back to rugby again.  My mom and I went to the real shower for Allie and it was so fun to catch up with everyone.  Being back with all the girls felt like we were back at girls camp!  I am so lucky to have grown in such a wonderful ward with such great people!  After the shower my mom and I headed right to our favorite Little America for split pea soup and blue cheese salad.  Its such a fun tradition that we started so many years ago and I always look so forward to it!

On Friday morning I went out to West Jordan to temp in an office.  It reminded my just how lucky I am to have 3 wonderful jobs that I love so much!  I went to the gym after and it felt SO good!  I am a little embarrassed to admit it but I finally caved in and I am starting Harry Potter.  I always made fun of the weirdos that read it, but Dr. Sands told me I couldn't knock it til I read it.  I hate to admit it, but it is actually pretty entertaining so far.  That night Blake and I met up with our friends Steele and Paige for Red Mango.  Our parfaits were DELICIOUS but the company was even better!  They are seriously the cutest couple and we love hanging out with them so much!

This morning I woke up early with Blake and went to the gym while he was at practice.  I made a quick Walmart run and then cleaned the house.  Blake took a power nap when he got home and I read a little more of my book.  When he woke up we got ready and then went to the Oquirrh Mountain temple.  I'm so grateful to have such an amazing husband that can be so busy with a million different things, yet still makes time to take me to the temple every month.  We grabbed a quick bite to eat at Panda Express and then went to Chelsey's wedding (a friend from work).  Her wedding was gorgeous and I want to live at the Golf Course where her reception was (Talon's Cove in Saratoga Springs).  We caught the last half of the BYU vs CAL rugby game.  We were sad BYU lost, but they looked great.  We just got home and are laying low watching some good old Netflix.

Dumb blogger!

So I already did this blog entry once and stupid blogger decided to delete the whole thing.....so here goes from scratch.....

This month has been super with Blake traveling with work and rugby.  I hate not being with him all the time.  He is my best friend and I feel like I part of me is missing when he's gone!  He needed his computer while he was traveling and so I got a little behind on here again so here a quick catch-up starting where my last post left off (Monday May 2).

On Monday I worked at Dr. Sands office.  I seriously don't know what I did to deserve all my wonderful offices.  I thought I was lucky to have to fabulous jobs and then this job came along.  Everyone in this office makes me feel so at home and I have so much fun.  I feel so lucky because there is never a day I dread going to work!  After work I went straight to the gym and then Blake and I cooked dinner (and by we I mean Blake cooked and I folded laundry).  He is such a sweet husband and is always helping with EVERYTHING!  We had a yummy chicken and pasta dinner and then relaxed while we watch the lamest movie ever (Road To McAllister).....yes there are times Netflix definitely doesn't pull through!

On Tuesday morning I went to the gym and then to Dr. Dastrups office to answer phones because he was out of town.  I went to Mark Miller Subaru after work to get my speakers fixed because they didn't sound right and were still under warranty.  It took FOREVER!  When I got home I made a pretty fantastic dinner that was not only beauful, it also tasted amazing!  Chicken cranberry braid and a sweet potatoe with homemade honey cinnamon butter:

We watched a movie after and took it easy because I wasn't feeling very good.

On Wednesday I worked at Dr. Johansens and then went to the gym.  I'm slowly starting to run again on my knee and its doing surprisingly well, but I'm taking baby steps!  When I got home Blake and I started making a delicious fiesta meal for Lindsay Newton's b-day.
She and Olivia came over and had dinner.  We had fajaitas with homemade salsa and guacamole and it was delicious.  The girls stayed and chatted for a while and it was soooo fun, seriously love those girls!

On Thursday I temped at a new office and it happened to be by Fashion Place Mall so of course I had to go shopping! I found the perfect skirt for Blake's graduation!  I went to the gym after and then Blake and I went to Pawits for dinner, which was delicious as always.  We went home after and watched a movie.

On Friday I volunteered at Primary Childrens, which is always great.  Those kids are adorable!  We had Blake's graduation dinner at MacCools (a cute Irish pub by the U).
Merdi loves to help Blake open his presents.  He was totally spoiled with great gifts!

A few of us went the the U after to watch Blake walk. Remember the niece and nephew picture.....ya graduation would have been quite chaotic!
 It's OFFICIAL!!!!

The Fab Four
We might have left a hair early but it was fun to watch.  What better way to celebrate after than a Red Mango parfait:)!!!!  After I had to take Blake to the airport for a rugby trip in New York and I wasn't happy about it.  Yes, there may have been a few tears shed when I said goodbye to Blake.  Ah, I have totally become one of those girls I always made fun of.  I hate to be without my husband and I get so sad!  He is literally my other half and I feel incomplete when he is gone!

My family put me right to work the next day to keep me busy and my mind off Blake being gone.  We repainted my parents deck for my mom for Mothers Day.
The weather was gorgeous and I actually had a lot of fun.  It took forever and we were all exhausted when we finally finished!  I know it meant the world to my mom and it seriously looked like a new deck!  Mom and I went to a late dinner after Pawits and mmmmm that place has never tasted better!!!

On Sunday I cleaned like crazy and then went to church by myself :(.  Blake text me and let me know that they won their game 32-26 and I was so happy for him!  That means another game next weekend in Colorado against CAL.  We have the sweetest man, Ken, in our ward that Blake and I have grown to love and he chatted with me for a bit and was so excited about Blake's big win!  I celebrated Mothers Day with my fam that night because Sandy was in New York with Blake.  We had a delicious dinner and spent the rest of the evening at Whit and Eddie's.  Blake and I gave my mom the cutest Shutterfly card and a massage because that woman works harder than anyone you have ever met and she definitely deserves a massage!
I'm so grateful to have such a wonderful mom that is also my best friend!  I was counting down the minutes that night until midnight so I could go pick up Blake, Nana and Pop (Pres and Sandy).  It finally came and I couldn't wrap my arms around him fast enough!  On the way home we gave Sandy a cute Shutterfly card and an adorable apron, since she is always cooking us such wonderful meals.
Blake and I tried to stay up as late as possible since he was leaving me the next day while I was still at work for a business trip in AZ.

On Monday I worked at Dr. Sands and then went straight to the gym.  I came home to the sweetest note on my bed from my husband and it was just what I needed!  Cute Sandy knew I was home alone and so she invited me over for dinner.  We spent the rest of the night at Scott and Lindsay's new house, which is adorable!

On Tuesday I worked at Dr. Dastrups and then went to the knew Golds Gym in Bountiful which is to die for!  I went to Tess', a friend from UVU, shower.  It was tea party themed and so cute!  It was lovely catching up with old friends!  I grabbed some take-out on my way home at my fav, Dasks.  I watched our latest Netflix, Nine.  The food was great, the movie was totally lame!

On Wednesday I worked at Dr. Johansen and it was just great.  I went downtown after the Allison Simmonds wedding dinner at Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
She is one of my best girlfriends from high school.  She looked gorgeous and so happy, I'm so excited for her!  I got to sit by some old high school friends.  It was so fun catching up (even though we already knew most everything thanks to blog stalking haha).
Blake's flight landed while I was at the dinner and so I got to come home to my cute husband and I was SOO excited!  I still get major butterflies everytime I see my hot husband!  We couldn't get enough of finally being together!!!

On Thursday I worked out at Dr. Dastrup's office.  My stomach was feeling a little weird and by the end of the day I wanted to die.  Our sweet receptionist, Kaylee, could tell I wasn't feeling to hot and she sent me home a bit early.  I was sweating bullets on the way home and seriously thought I was gonna hurl on my way home.  I barely made it in the door and ran down the hall to the bathroom before I started barfing.  Ugh it was miserable!  I took a power nap after and felt a little better when I woke up.  Blake wanted to see Scott and Lindsays house so we ran over there for a sec and then all went to dinner at Dasks.  It was so nice that we were able to eat outside, yay I love the nice weather!  We spent the rest of the night doing laundry and packing for the rugby trip.

Friday morning I was feeling a little better but still not 100%.  I took Blake to the bus (Sandy, Pres and I were flying Sat. to meet him).  Whit and I ran to a continuing ed for dental hygiene and I got to see one of my old hygiene friends, Megan.  It was so fun to see her!  Whit and I went to Kesha for the rest of the afternoon.  That night I went Nicole's and spent the rest of the evening out there with the Millers.  I love that I feel as comfortable with my in-laws as I do with my own family.  I love spending time with them!  Blake was super jealous that I was having an BBQ and playing with the kids while he was bored in a hotel room in Colorado.

Saturday morning Sandy and Pres picked me up early and we headed to the airport.  We had a layover in AZ and the flights seemed to take forever!  We finally arrived at our hotel at 4:30 and then went straight to the field with the boys.  To say it was cold would be a major understatement.  What the heck it's MAY!  It poured the entire game.  I was NOT dressed for the weather.  My shoes soaked up all the water and my feet were in sooo much pain b/c they were so cold.  When I took my shoes off after the game my toes were all white and had no blood in them.  It hurt sooo bad to thaw them out!  The boys played well but it was a tough game against the #1 team in the nation, CAL.  They fought hard but in the end weren't able to pull it off.
It's crazy to think that was Blake's last 15's rugby game.  It's been such a huge part of our lives and it'll be weird to not have that anymore!  I've had so much fun watching his games and am SO proud of the amazing season he's had!  After their game we stayed to watch BYU play Arkansas.  Thank goodness we were able to sit in the bar and watch it on tv because I couldn't have stayed outside one more minute. We grabbed a late dinner at Cafe Rio and then hit the hay, it was so nice having my husband next to me in bed again!  We all had a super early morning, out the door by 4 am, Blake on the bus and us off to the airport.  Again we had another long flight with a layover in AZ.  I couldn't sleep the entire time so I took a nice nap when I got home and then went to pick Blake up from the bus.  Now we are back home and trying to unpack and do more laundry. Life should get back to normal again now and I will have a husband everyday WOOT WOOT!
