Mothers Day

Last Sunday we went to Nicole's for a Mother's Day dinner.  We celebrated with my mom last week so now it was time to celebrate Nana! Sandy taught all the kids an adorable mother's day song for all the mommas.
We got to see all of Nicole's cute gifts from her kiddos.
I can't wait for all these sweet homemade gifts, they are the best!!!
Blake and his mom.  What a fun chance for us to celebrate what an amazing mother and grandmother Sandy is.
How I scored such an amazing mother-in-law is beyond me!  I'm so grateful that my baby will be lucky enough to call her Nana!
Grammy feeling her latest great-grandbabies wiggling around!
I can't do a Mother's Day post without talking about my sweet mom.  I found this picture when I was at their house last week and it totally melted my heart.  So crazy to think that will be me in just a short time.  When it comes to moms they don't come any better than her.  She has taught me so much about being a mom.  She is my best friend and I pray my little girl will enjoy being with me as much as I love being with my mom.

Monday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  That night I cooked philly cheesesteak sandwiches and worked on my projects for the baby's room with Blake.

Tuesday I worked at Johansen and then went to the gym.  That night Blake had a football game and I went to see the kids baseball games.  Sadie and Easton are on a team together and Boston is on another team.  They had games back to back.
Spencer is totally convinced he is also on the team.....
80% of the time watching the game is spent chasing this guy around.  He doesn't understand why he can't be out on the field playing too!!!
 Best friends!
 Sadie up to bat
As you can tell by this shot Sadie gets VERY into the game haha
This little man is quite the athlete!!!
After the game I met up with Blake, Preston, Jamyn and Sandy and we had dinner at Pizzeria Limone, mmmm it was delicious!

Wednesday I worked at Johansen and then went to the gym.  I got off work late so I didn't get home until pretty late so we had a chill night.  We had cereal for dinner and finished the projects for the babys room.

Thursday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  That night my mom threw a wedding shower for my next door neighbor Tom.  Tom was my best friend growing up, we were inseparable!  I found this picture and had to make a wedding card for Tom and his wife with it......seriously isn't it the cutest!!
I guessed I actually have been married before haha!
The shower was so fun.  I got to see so many cute neighbors I haven't seen in ages!

Friday I spent the day deep cleaning the house and it felt so good!  I went the gym after I finished all my chores and then to the grocery store.  That night Blake and I went to Provo to have a BBQ with Lisa and Logan.
Haven giving snuggles to Blake on the tramp.  It totally melts my heart now to watch my cute hubby holding little girls!!!
Haven is getting the most fun personality!!!
Nothing better than the cheesy gummy smile, its my fav!
We did a bonfire outside and it was so fun!

Saturday morning about 4 am terror struck......the flu.....bigtime, ugh!  It was a rough morning and of course we were getting family pictures.  Easton, Kesha and my mom had it the day before.  That morning Nick, Eddie and I all had it.  Getting ready was a major struggle.  By the time I got all ready I ran to the bathroom and puked my guts out.....awesome mascara all over my face!  I touched up the makeup quick and then loaded in the car with a puke bowl on my lap just in case.  We took the pictures outside at Thanksgiving Point.  The kids all looked so cute and were soooo good!  I can't wait to see all the pics!  Here's a little sneak peak of Blake and I......don't let the smile fool you.....I was MISERABLE!
The rest of the day was pretty brutal but thanks to my sweet hubby I made it through.  He was dying to get our garden in so he recruited some help.  We went to Laurens and got Chase, Taylor and Macie to help.
As you can see my husband looooves flowers!
The kids were such good helpers and they pounded it out so fast!   It looked beautiful!
They did a bunch of other chores around the yard and it looked so good.  I stayed inside all day trying my best to eat or drink anything without it coming back up.  Macie was such good company so I didn't have to be lonely.....even when my eyes were closed or I was in the bathroom she was right around the corner talking my ear off haha I love that girl!  After all the hard yard work we took the cars to get washed and got snowcones.  It felt good to get out of the house for a sec.
After all their hard work they played games outside....rugby, soccer, and basketball with all the other neighborhood boys.  Blake was having too much fun and didn't want to take the kids home!

This morning I woke up feeling way better just a little weak.  My poor little tummy shrunk so much, I felt so bad for baby girl not getting anything to eat or drink yesterday!  Hopefully I'll get my strength back today and be able to get some nutrition down to my hungry little one!!!

Friends in town!!!

Last Sunday we had dinner at my mom's.  I love that its sumer now and we can eat and play outside.  Easton was super excited to show us how good he is at his bow and arrow!  He was actually ridiculously good and could hit whatever we told him to hit haha!
Sweet Payten would have stayed in this swing all day if we'd let her!

Monday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  Blake worked in the yard while I made chicken and broccoli casserole for dinner, it was delicious!

Tuesday I worked at Johansen and then went to the gym.  I ran a bunch of errands after and then met Blake at home.  He grabbed us a Papa Murphys pizza for dinner and we watched a movie and ate dinner.

Wednesday I worked at Johansens and then went to the gym.  Blake and I went to visit Emmy and Josh after.  They just had their second baby, a little girl.  She was so dang cute and got me soooo excited for our little one!  She's still so tiny and it blows my mind to think that my baby will be that size inside my tummy, CRAZY!  We'll definitely have to plan some playdates together with our little girls!  We met up with Preston and Jamyn after for dinner at Cous Cous.  I love that place so much!

Thursday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym.  That night I attempted cooking coconut chicken, it turned out ok but the recipe may still need a little tweaking!

Friday morning I went to piano and then to the gym.  I spent the rest of the day getting revamping some old things from my grandma's house with my mom for the baby's room!  They are looking so dang cute and will be perfect additions for her nursery!
After Blake got off work we headed to his parents and drove up to Rockport with them and Preston and Jamyn.  The lakehouse is officially started and Blake can hardly sleep at night he's so excited!!!  I can't wait for all the fun memories we'll make up there as a family!
 The boys  envisioning their dreams!
 Happiest boys ever!
Seriously you cannot beat this view!!!!
After the sun went down we headed in to Park City for dinner at Grub Steak.  It is one of my favorites and definitely didn't disappoint!

Saturday morning Blake did yard work and I went to the gym.  That afternoon we got together with all my Africa friends.  DJ and Kelsi were in town from Kentucky.  I've missed them soooo much and it always felt like something was missing at our get togethers with them being gone!  Love all these peeps soooo much!!!
That night we went to the mall with Nicole, Mikko, their kids, Preston and Jamyn.  We had dinner at the food court and shopped the night away and it was so fun!

Babymoon

This past week couldn’t have come soon enough. We were able to work for 3 days and then it was finally time to pack our bags and head down to Cabo for our Babymoon. We invited Eric and Aubrey to join us and we couldn’t have been more excited. We had Lauren drive us to the airport for our nonstop flight and it was smooth sailing from there. We landed in Cabo and it felt so good to have the warm air hit you in the face, it was a long Winter. We went through the customs line and the plan was to meet Eric and Aubrey at the Dollar Car Rental. We headed over to get the car because we know in Mexico there are always hurdles to jump in order to get the rental car.

Blake prepaid for the car, had a receipt, a reservation and everything you would think you would need. It came time to get the keys and they said the total amount was $355 for the week rental on top of what Blake already paid. We asked why and they explained that the Government raised taxes and insurance to $35 a day. Blake asked for his Card and License back and walked to two other car rental agencies. He ended up getting a car from Budget with everything included for way less. By the time he came to pick me up Eric and Aubrey had arrived so it was perfect timing. We loaded the car and headed to our hotel. We checked in to the cutest rooms called Perlitas and they are so fun. You have your own kitchen, family room, bedroom, and bathroom with a hammock on the porch. We threw our suits on and headed to the beach to feel the ocean and sand under our toes. It was heaven! We walked for a while and then decided we should go get our grocery shopping out of the way so we jumped in the car and headed to Costco and Walmart.
Being pregnant has its benefits, including front row parking at Walmart!
We have found this is the best way to do this trip, we buy breakfast foods, a few lunch items, and enough to cook in two nights. It makes it a little bit easier on the wallet.

We got back to the hotel, unloaded the groceries and then headed to dinner on the beach at our hotel restaurant. We love the atmosphere and the food, it is always so much fun! We had dinner under the stars with Eric and Aubrey and had some fun conversations. By the time we finished dinner it was 10:30 so we decided to hit the sack and get ready for the first full day at the beach.

Friday Blake and I woke up early and decided to head down and watch the surise, it was gorgeous!
We headed to the Tennis courts after. This has become a tradition and we love playing tennis down here. The air is so humid that you can hit the ball way harder and it doesn’t sail like it does in Utah. We played doubles and even though I suck and lost everyday, we still had fun.
After tennis we would head to the room for breakfast and then put our suits on.  We decided to spend the first day at our beach and hotel under the cabana, reading our books, listening to music, and playing in the water.
Blake loves waving his flag and getting his mango strawberry daquiris!
 Can't beat that view!
One of my favorite things to do was sitting in my inner tube and ride the waves, GLORIOUS!
No trip is complete without some jewelry shopping!
Blake started reading Unbroken while we were down there and couldn't put it down!  We was a total bookworm anytime we were laying out!
I found this dress for baby girl, ahhh I can't wait to put her in it!!!
We walked to some of the neighboring properties to take a look around and had to show Eric and Aubrey the Whale Slide. It was so fun to go down. This was the first time that we took a camera and it is surprisingly fast and long.
We met many families that all checked in the same day we did. Rick and Tracy were there celebrating their 35 wedding anniversary, we instantly connected with them and had many laughs and good conversation. That night we cooked in and started a game of Hollywood Rummy.
We played a few hands and then went to see the Fiesta the hotel sponsors. We watched a few dances, listened to a few songs, and watched fireworks.
After that it was back to the room to finish our game and then we went to bed exhausted.

Saturday we woke up and of course played tennis. Afterward, we had breakfast and got ready to head to the snorkeling beaches. We first stopped at Santa Maria, we could see the waves were crashing into the rocks and there weren’t very many cars there so we decided to head one more stop to Chileno Bay. We walked down to the beach put our stuff under the cabana, grabbed our masks and headed to the water.
We noticed that no one else in the water so Blake asked a woman why. She explained the lifeguards weren’t allowing any one in the water due to a strong rip tide and jellyfish! Haha We decided we better listen and not go snorkeling so instead we went crab hunting and had to get some cute pictures.
We played on the rocks for about an hour and then decided that we were hungry and needed to head back to the hotel. Saturdays is when they do 2 for 1 sushi and it is the best thing you can
have poolside… even if you are pregnant and can’t eat it at least they have deep fried rolls that I can sneak by with.
Rick bought all of us Virgin Miami Vices, which are half Pina Colada half Strawberry Daiquiri. It was Delicious!
We headed into town for dinner at the Marina, but we of course had to walk around and get our shopping in.
We decided to get Surf and Turf at the restaurants right on the water. It was decent food, but better company.
We headed back to the room and collapsed in bed.

Sunday, yup you guessed it. We started with tennis and yup you guessed it again, I lost. But I am pregnant so it is OK, the baby slowed my reaction time and made the hole in my racquet larger somehow… We wanted to head to Lover’s beach but the waves were too big and the boats couldn’t drop passengers off on the shore so we decided to have another lazy day under the cabana and swimming in our pool. Aubrey and I started painting some awesome platters to take home, we're not very creative so we copied one he already made.  We had so much fun!
Once we were sunned out we went and showered and decided to go show Eric and Aubrey the neighboring hotel that has Flamingoes.
We also discovered they have turtles and fish as well, so that was just a bonus! That night we cooked in and maybe over estimated the amount of noodles needed to feed 4 people. Note to self, each person doesn’t need their own package of noodles. But we had another great dinner with better company.

Monday the water looked calmer so we decided to head to Lover’s Beach after another epic tennis match. Yes I lost… We were early and had our own water taxi so we were able to get a custom tour and we basically had the beach to ourselves.
Gotta love the glass bottom boats!

 Lovers Arch
We went snorkeling, the visibility wasn’t as good as it is in October but we still had fun with the food for the fishes. When you bring tortillas or smashed up tortilla chips the fish love you and will follow you around just like a puppy.
The water was so high we had to get creative and climb over a few rocks to get over to the beach so we could go to the actual Lovers Beach (you snorkel just down from it).
On the hike over we went by the cave, the legend is when 2 people go in 3 come out haha.....by the looks of my belly I'd say the legend is true!
 We love Lovers Beach!!!
On the other side is Divorce beach, its on the Pacific side. The waves were pounding the sand and so powerful, it is not safe to swim there.
We played on the beach for a while and then our bellies told us it was time to go. We hailed our water taxi and headed back to Club Cascadas. We had lunch at the pool, shrimp tacos are amazing there! After we had full bellies we went back to our chairs and took naps, read books and relaxed. Once we all got stir crazy we headed to the beach where the boys were throwing diving catches in the water to each other.
Waiting for them to be done so we could go float together!!
Once they were tired out we then just floated in the water and loved bobbing up and down in the waves. Blake decided to go get his beachfront massage. He got a 50 year old woman named Theresa, she was epic and may have been missing a few teeth.  The best part is when she leaned down and whispered into Blake’s ear, “Untie your swimsuit”. Blake was a little surprised, but was happy when she only tucked a towel into the back of his swimsuit.
While he was busy getting a massage, Aubrey and I decided to work on our painting project. We got a recommendation to hit the restaurant called the Hacienda.
We walked along the beach to get there.  There were jelly fish all along the sand.  Eric insisted the body doesn't sting you and decided to prove it to us....crazy!
The Hacienda is down toward the pier and was really good food. I had a little heartburn because it was spicy but you couldn’t beat the location or the friends.
We headed to Walmart to get some Tums, cookies, and happened to stumble across a local market where they made fresh Churros. We played another round of Hollywood Rummy and laughed the whole time we played.

Tuesday we headed to Santa Maria, again we were early so we had the whole beach to ourselves. We went snorkeling, again with food for the fishes. Eric found a puffer fish and was successful in getting it to inflate… with a little prodding from a GoPro.
We snorkeled for about an hour and then threw the Frisbee, played smash ball and once again, our bellies decided we needed to go get lunch. We got distracted and had to stop at the Glass Factory, we purchased a few items, watched a demonstration and then headed back to the hotel.
We made sandwiches at the room and ate on the porch. The boys discussed Taxes and how mad they are, the girls ignored them and had our own conversation.  When we got back to the beach we finally finished our platters!

That night for dinner we hit the restaurant at our hotel for Prime Rib.
Blake ordered it last October and was in heaven. I made him get it cooked more than he likes it so I really enjoyed it but Blake wished it could have been a little bit more tender. We still had a fun time and enjoyed the conversation and company.  The night ended with another epic game of Rummy.

Wednesday was our last full day so we wanted to stay and enjoy our awesome hotel.  We played tennis and I thought maybe on our last day I'd get lucky, nope still lost haha!  We spent the rest of the day lounging under our cabana, playing in the ocean and pool, and enjoying some lunch in the pool.  WE got our platters back after being glazed and fired and they turned out sooo cute!!!
We got restless after laying out a while and decided to make an epic sand castle for our cute little friend Nora.
Nora, her mom and grandpa were staying at our resort too and we fell in love with her!  She was soooo excited when we brought her down to see the castle!
To cool down after the castle we played in the ocean and the boys played more football...over our sand castle.
For our last night we ate at our hotel and it was my favorite night, hawaaiin chicken night and it was glorious.  Love romantic dinners at the beach!
Nothing like sitting with your toes in the sand while enjoying a delicious dinner!

We ran by Walmart again to see if the local market was there again with fresh churros but unfortunately it wasn't there!  We headed back to our place and stayed up late playing cards.

Thursday was our last day and we didn't want to waste a minute so we woke up early and went to watch the sunrise, it was gorgeous!!  We spent the rest of the afternoon soaking up every last ray we could.  We had our last lunch in the pool and then had to change into our airplane cloths....Blake and I didn't even leave enough time to shower because we didn't want to waste one second haha!  Then it was back to the airport and off the SLC.  I swear we blinked our eyes and the week was over!  It couldn't have been a more perfect trip!  We are so grateful Eric and Aubrey were able to come spend the week with us, they totally made the trip!  The perfect trip with the perfect friends, doesn't get better than that!!!
When I got home I headed straight to Lauren's for Ashlie's bridal shower.  It was a great shower and so fun to see everyone.  Eleni and Hadley had curled their hair for the occassion and it was to die for!!!
When I finally got home I was exhausted!

Friday morning I had another baby Dr appt.  I look so forward to these, I love hearing her heartbeat!  She's is moving like crazy all the time now and I love it!  After my appt I ran to the gym.  After I ran home and showered I met my fam at Thanksgiving Point for the tulip festival.  Blake was able to meet us for lunch and then it was off to see the flowers.  I love seeing all the pretty flowers!!!

Getting a picture of all the grandkids is not an easy task......

 Spencer looooved the fish!
That night we met Pres, Jamyn and Eleni (they were tending her) for dinner at Cafe Rio.  It was so fun!  Eleni is the cutest and was such a little angel!

Saturday morning Blake worked on our sprinklers and I ran to the gym and the grocery store.  BYU and CAL were playing in the rugby championship at Rio Tinto so we ran there to watch the game.  It was fun and brought back so many memories!  After the game we were super hot so we met Pres and Jamyn at Red Mango which totally hit the spot!  We spent the rest of the afternoon doing some shopping.  We met Eric and Aubrey (we were having withdrawals not seeing them every minute haha) and Eric's cousin Sean and wife Haylie.  We grabbed dinner at Buffalo Wild Wings and then went to play glow in the dark frisbee and board games, it was a fun night!

This morning we deep some cleaning around the house and then headed to church......only to discover that we missed the memo that it was stake conference.....WHOOPSIES!
