One
of these days I will finally catch up, here is the catch up from my last
post. Last Sunday we went to
church and it was Blake’s first father’s day. I gave him a card with a picture of our latest ultrasound
and told him his gift was the baby I’m busy making for him haha. We met my family up at Washington Park
up by Jeremy Ranch for a Father’s Day BBQ. The weather was perfect and we had so much fun.
Baby Payten hanging with Grandma D
Nick and Kesha had gone geode hunting the day before and so the kids were busy all night cracking them open looking for gems.
As usual Payten loving life with Uncle Blake!
Happy Fathers Day to my dad!
After our picnic we swung by Nicole’s fast to catch the end of their father’s day dinner for Pop. Such a great day celebrating Dads. I cannot wait to watch my cute husband become a daddy. Is he such an amazing and thoughtful husband, I can only imagine the kind of dad he'll be! Baby girl and I are the luckiest!!!!!
Monday I worked at Focus and then came home to my amazing rug from Costco that finally came in. My sweet husband rushed right over to get it as soon as he heard they came. My mom has one of the rugs and I’ve wanted one for the nursery ever since I found out I was pregnant! It looks amazing in the room and feels like walking on a cloud! We had our birthing class date night again starting with dinner at the hospital cafeteria and then going to class. It was fun as always!
Tuesday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym. We had our 2 week appt with Lindsay after and we got to do an ultrasound. It was heavenly and I could have sat there all night watching! She kept opening and shutting her eyes, yawning, sucking on her hand, kicking her legs and she even got the hiccups (my whole belly and her little body kept jumping each time she hiccupped, it was the cutest!!!!) We could see a little hair on her head and her neck had the cutest little fat rolls. She is so yummy and I absolutely cannot wait to see her in person and snuggle her up in my arms!!!!! After the appt I headed to my last baby shower with Preston’s side of the family. It was another double shower with Jamyn. We both were completely spoiled again, our family is amazing!
All the grandmas-to-be
Grammy never misses an event!
Some of our cute cousins that helped with the shower! Love these girls!
Fab 4.....two of us looking a little more plump than usual haha!
Looking back at all the wonderful things I’ve gotten is overwhelming. I cannot believe how much love and support Blake and I have been shown during this exciting time. People’s generosity blows me away and I’m so grateful to have so many wonderful and loving people in my life. Baby girl is so incredibly lucky to be born into these families where she will be surrounded my so many people that love and care for her!
Wednesday I worked at Johansen and then met Blake at Buy Buy Baby to order our glider. I looked at it again and fell in love with it all over again! I can’t wait to rock my sweet baby girl in that amazing chair! We met my family after at Grandpa D’s grave to celebrate his birthday.
It is still weird to think he’s really gone but I like to think about him caring for my baby girl while she’s growing in my tummy. I’ve had a few very sweet experiences since being pregnant where I’ve felt him very near. I know he will be with me always. We brought balloons and the kids released them up to him. The kids were so excited that the angels were going to take the balloons up to him in heaven so everyone would know it was his birthday.
We all went to dinner after at Pizzeria Limone. It was a fun night with the family celebrating and remembering cute Grandpa.
Thursday I worked at Focus and then went to the gym. That night we met up with Thomas and Bree and headed to Spanish Fork for Strawberry Days. We had a yummy dinner at The Smoking Apple and then headed to the rodeo.
Me and my cowboy!
Being at a rodeo makes it feel like summer is finally here! I love love love the rodeo and we had so much fun watching. Cute Beckett came too and he loved all the animals. His boots were my favorite!!!
Because it's strawberry days they sell strawberries and cream, I was in HEAVEN!
It was a great night with our cute friends!
Friday morning I went to the gym and then headed to lunch with Kelsi. She was in town from Kentucky and I was sooooo excited to see her. I have missed her and DJ so much and I get so excited whenever she comes to town. We sat and chatted forever, it was so fun! I spent the rest of the afternoon cleaning the house. That night Blake and I got to tend Payten. She is the cutest and we had so much fun with her! We grabbed dinner at Noodles and then Laur and her kids came over to play for a bit. We had so much fun with them!
Saturday morning I went to the gym. Blake headed up to the lakehouse with Pres and Pop to work on some of the electrical stuff. Blake loves any excuse to be up there dreaming about all the fun memories we’ll have up there! That afternoon I went to Chelsey’s baby shower (she used to work at Johansen’s with me until she and her husband moved to New Mexico). That night we went to Blake’s cousin Madison’s wedding. It was at La Caille and it was to die for! The scenary, the food and the company were all perfect! It was a great night!
Sunday we went to Blake’s cousin’s son’s farewell. It was a great farewell and it was fun
to be with the family. We went back
to their house after for yummy food.
The yard was gorgeous and it felt so good to be outside. After we ate and visited for a while we
headed to Janice’s house for a wedding brunch for Madison. It was low key and more fun visiting
with family. After stuffing our
faces all day we headed to Nicole’s to take naps, watch soccer and of course
eat more yummy food. We celebrated
Lindsay and Preston’s birthdays.
