Ski Date and Viv's Blessing

Another busy week that flew past us.  We thought life would slow down once we got settled in the house......how wrong we were haha!  Life is crazy and busy and we wouldn't have it any other way!

Tuesday I started my first 2nd day with Dr. Johansen.  I've been working there on Wednesdays and was able to pick up another day.  I couldn't be happier!  I love that office and am so excited to be able to spend more time there, plus it is soooo close to the new house!  It's a 7-3 day which sucks in the morning but its super nice to be done at 3!  The day seemed to fly by!  I went to the gym after work and was home at 5 before Blake, that NEVER happens!  That night we met DJ and Kelsi for dinner at Lonestar Tacos.....um AMAZING!  It's a ghetto little place but their shrimp tacos are out of this world and they are always crazy busy!  We stayed for a while chatting and then they came back to see our new house!  It's so fun to finally have a house big enough to fit more than 2 people haha!  We all stayed up way past our bedtimes because we were have to much fun laughing our brains out!

Wednesday morning I went to the gym and then I worked at Dr. Johansen's again.....NEAT!  It's great being there back to back 2 days in a row!  After work we took our cute neighbors across the street out to dinner.  They helped us a ton with fixing things around their house and it was our turn to treat them!  We went to a little restaurant down the street from our house called the Foxhole.  If you are thinking about trying it......don't.  At least we had good company, but when you walk into a restaurant at dinnertime and no one is in it there is probably a reason haha!    That night we signed papers with our new renters in the basement.  They are the cutest couple with an adorable little boy.  We are so excited that we finally found renters we felt comfortable with!  We feel so blessed with the way things have worked out for us! I went to a relief society activity that night to get to know more of the sisters in our ward.  Everyone is so friendly and nice!  I love our neighborhood and can't wait to continue getting to know people more and more!

Thursday I worked at Dr. Dastrup's and then went to the gym.  Before I left in the morning I left a pinterest dinner recipe and all the ingredients on the table.  I came home to an awesome hot dinner in the oven care of my amazing husband!  We had delicious chicken lasagna roll-ups with greek salad and garlic bread.  Our friends Mike and Alisha showed up right in time with their sweet little baby Savannah to eat dinner.....we still haven't learned to cook for 2 and my husband won't touch left-overs!  Blake did a fabulous job and it tasted even more amazing than it looked, and it looked great!  We rolled ourselves onto the couch and chatted for a bit.  Nana and Pop surprised us and came for a visit.  They couldn't get over how cute Savannah is, neither could we!  Alisha has become quite the little homemaker and even sews he own cloths and makes bows for her sweet little girl!  She definitely gonna have to help me someday, she is quite talented!!

Friday morning I went to a pilates class and it was super lame and I walked out and went to my good old treadmill.  When I got home I showered and then started a batch of cinnamon rolls.....we talking yeast and rising and stuff....those of you that don't know, this is a HUGE deal for me haha!  During my 1st rise I went to Dr. Johansen's office and got my teeth cleaned, mmm I love that feeling!  I came home and rolled my dough out put the cinnamon/sugar on, rolled it, cut it, and then it was time for more rising. I went to get my car windows tinted (my b-day present from the hubs and his fam).  I hung-out there (and yes I packed a lunch and ate it while I waited haha) and was so excited with the way it turned out!  I spent the rest of the day running errands and trying out new pinterest projects.  That night we went to find a place to grab some quick dinner, apparently the weekend before Valentines is NUTS....we're talking and hour plus wait everywhere.  Finally we ended up at Brick Oven and only had to wait 20 min and mmm it was good!  We were exhausted when we got home and just cuddled up on the couch and fell asleep watching a movie, just like the good old days!

Saturday morning we went skiing with both our parents.  It's so fun that our parents are such good friends!  We had a blast and the snow actually wasn't too bad.  On the Eagle lift there is an exit half-way up the is for racers only.  My awesome mom was distracted and totally got off.  We were all laughing our heads of as they had to reload her haha!  That my friends is where I get it from.  We stopped mid-way through the day to meet up with Pop's singles ward and have lunch.
After lunch it started snowing for a bit.  We randomly met some Germans and it was so fun hearing Blake talk with them.  They stayed with us for a few runs and we chatted on the lifts, it was great.  Finally towards the end of the day the sun came out.  Nana and Pop had to run but I wasn't ready yet so we made my parents stay.  Our legs were like jello but I couldn't stop skiing!  We made it to the end of the day.  Blake said that was the longest he'd ever skied, welcome to skiing Scott style!  Everyone wanted to come over after and warm up in the h-tub.  Nana and Pop were tending Lauren's cute kids and so they came too.  We all got in the h-tub and then had Carl's Junior for dinner.  Heidi and Scott picked us up later and we all headed down to Orem for Kelsi's mustache birthday bash.

The party was super fun!  They did not miss one mustache detail!  It's always a party when the Africa crew gets together, oh how I love them!!
Even Blake got in on the mustache-y fun!

This morning we woke up to a snow storm, finally!  We drove up to Bountiful for my cousin Danny and Jessica's baby blessing.  Their little girl is Vivian Kate Kettle and she is so precious.  I was the designated baby holder the rest of the meeting and I couldn't have been happier!  It's always so fun getting the fam together!  We went back to Danny and Jess' new house after.  They have worked their butts off redoing their new house and it is AMAZING!  We had a yummy little lunch and chit-chatted with the fam.  Max wasn't feeling the photo shoot too much haha.....
Max told us he wasn't taking another picture for the rest of the whole world haha so this was photo #2 minus Max haha.  I adore their cute fam and love that my Centerville office is so close so I have a good excuse to come visit!
My sweet Davis grandparents!  How cute are they!!
 Great-grandparents
When it was time to leave I discovered my shoes were missing.  Miss Lucy (Danny and Jess' little girl) was wearing them and walks in heels better than I do!  O my gosh I love her!!

We just got home and are hanging out until dinner time.  We're going over to Whit and Eddie's.  Crazy to think that in a short little while we'll have a new little one at their house!!!!
