We had another week packed with fun. Our triathlon we signed up for forever ago was finally here. Although we did not train much we all finished and had a blast doing it!
Sunday we finally picked some of our raspberries for Sunday dinner. Mmmmm they were delish!
Monday I worked at Dr. Sands and then went to the gym. That night we celebrated part of Blake's birthday with massages and Thai dinner at Pawits. We visited my parents for a bit and Blake mowed my parents yard, he is too nice! Our power was out at home so we went to Pres and Jamyn's after to watch Bachelorette. It's so fun being at their new house!
Tuesday I worked at Dr. Johansens and then went to the gym. That night Blake and I took Boston and Easton to the Day of 47 horse parade in Sandy. We had the perfect shady spot and the boys loved it.......especially Blake........all horses the whole time, a dream come true!
We went took the boys to Pei Wei after and then hung-out at our house while Nick and Kesh finished up their date night.Wednesday morning I went running and then worked at Dr. Johansen's. That night Blake was invited to come rope steers at the Oakley arena. He couldn't stop smiling the whole drive! He was training a new horse to chase the steers. He loved it and did a great job! Here are the pros at work....
My cowboy!
Bringing around the steers for another round!
You're a real cowboy!
Me and my bff Lucy, I am in LOVE with this sweet dog and want one someday!!!
Waiting for a steer, how handsome is he?!?
After we finished at the arena we took the steers back to the pasture and made sure all the other cows were still in the pasture. Kurt let us ride back from the arena. It was the perfect time of night and we had so much fun!
Thursday I worked at Dr. Dastrup's. That night we met Kurt and his family at Rockport and we all went boating. The water was a bit choppy so the his kids rode the tube for a bit and entertained all of us.
Such a cute fam!
None of them had wakeboarded before so here is the pro giving a lesson before they tried
We got Jerum up
And Jen!
Me and my boat daddy
Brianna got sooooo close!
Blake wanted a turn but was not excited to get in the freezing water!
He is kinda good...........
We had a blast and were glad we were finally to do something fun for them because they have let us have sooooo much fun with all their horses!
Friday morning I worked a half day at Dr. Sands. I came home and did a little cleaning and then met Whit and the kids at Cowabunga Bay. It wasn't the warmest day but we still had a lot of fun! Sadie is such a fish and was in HEAVEN all day!!!
I can't believe how big Spencer is getting! He is sooo smiley!
We got a little rain and so we decided we needed to go to my house and hot tub when we were all done. When we got in the hot tub the rain started coming down pretty good and the winds were very strong. I love hot tubbing when its cold outside! When Blake got home we had a little pasta party to get ready for our race in the morning. We wanted to go to bed early but that never happens for us so unfortunately we didn't get to bed til after 11.My 4:30 alarm came waaaay to fast! We got all our stuff together and headed to Whit's. My mom met us there too. She is the best and never misses anything.....even if it means she has to wake up at 3:30 to still get her run in! We accidentally missed the exit but it ended up being perfect because we were able to park right at the transition area b/c we were coming from the other direction and it wasn't blocked off (usually you have to bike in 2 miles). I LOVE LOVE LOVE doing triathlons and was so excited for Blake to do it with me this year!
Me and Whit pumped for the race!
Me and my hubby in front of Echo Lake.......or pond......it was sooo shallow that you could touch the entire swim!
Good thing we're all such good athletes.......
Yep he's mine!!!
Biking.....I was riding clipless pedals with regular shoes haha not the easiest thing to do!
Go Whit!
The last push!
The first to finish!
I made it!!!
What motivated me to make it to the finish line.....
Stuart did the race too.....only a Olympic no big deal.......his awesome wifey got some awesome pics for us!
Our whole crew finished woot woot!
We were soooo nervous the night before that it was gonna pour on us but it ended up being perfect weather! Cloudy with a slight breeze, by far the best triathlon weather we've ever had! We grabbed lunch after at Rich's Bagels and then got in the hot tub to loosen up. We had a nice power nap and then met up with Thomas and Bre. We grabbed Cafe Rio to go and went up to Deer Valley for the outdoor music festival. It was the Utah Symphony doing a Michael Jackson tribute. They had an awesome singer and the music was amazing. We had sooo much fun! Again we were super nervous for the weather but it was perfect once again!
Love date nights!
Sunday we had our girls camp sacrement meeting where we sang our song and some of the girls spoke, it was great! After church we went up to the cabin with my family to visit Grandma Scott. We had a yummy dinner and played up at the lake.
Rides with Papa
The boys very favorite thing in the world is throwing rocks into water. Uncle Blake helping Easton gather his rocks.
Hidden Lake
Yes I know I have the cutest nephews on the planet......
So Strong!
Uncle Blake rode the 4-wheeler around to find huge rocks to make big splashes
They were laughing sooo hard and kept begging to be splashed again and again and again!
It was such a fun night at the cabin!
